Land Acknowledgment

At Journey Haven, we respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather, learn, and play is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Neutral Peoples. This land is rich with history, ceremony, and stewardship—and it continues to be home to Indigenous Peoples who have cared for it since time immemorial.

We recognize the enduring presence and deep wisdom of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across Turtle Island. We honor their knowledge, teachings, and connection to the Earth, sky, waters, and all living beings.

Our work at Journey Haven is deeply rooted in nature-based learning, mindfulness, and holistic connection. We humbly commit to walking the path of reconciliation by listening, learning, and acting in ways that uphold truth, respect, and justice. This includes acknowledging our responsibilities as stewards of the land and nurturing reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities and teachings.

May this land, and all the beings upon it, be held in love, respect, and gratitude.
